Refund Policy
All sales are final — which is exactly why every feature is free to try for 30 days first.
Effective 8 August 2026
Important notice
- Notefile operates under a no-refund policy. All sales are final.
- Every feature is unlocked during a 30-day free trial that costs nothing and needs no card.
- Nothing auto-renews. A license is a one-off yearly purchase that simply expires unless you choose to renew.
No refund policy
Notefile does not offer refunds on license purchases. This applies to all licenses, including renewals.
We believe this is fair because:
- Every single feature is free to use for 30 days before you pay anything — there is no reduced “free tier” hiding the good parts.
- Starting the trial needs only an email address. No credit card is collected, so nobody can be charged by accident or forget to cancel.
- Nothing renews automatically. A license expires on its own unless you actively buy another one.
- Notefile is software delivered instantly and in full at the moment of purchase; it cannot be returned in any meaningful sense.
- Your notes are ordinary files in your own folder, so you never lose access to your work — whatever happens to your license.
Try everything first — free for 30 days
We would much rather you found out Notefile isn't for you before paying than ask for money back afterwards. The trial exists for exactly that:
- All features unlocked for 30 days — the editor, folders, tags, search, text capture, import and export
- No credit card required to start
- Just an email address, confirmed with a one-time code
- Nothing happens when it ends: no charge, no auto-upgrade. The extension simply locks until you buy a license
If the trial doesn't convince you, don't buy. That is the point of it, and it costs you nothing.
When your license ends
Because a Notefile license does not auto-renew, there is no subscription to cancel and nothing to switch off. When a license expires:
- You are never charged again unless you deliberately buy another license
- Your notes stay exactly where they are — plain
.txt,.docxand.mdfiles in your own folder - Those files keep opening in Word, Google Docs, Pages, Obsidian, Notepad or any text editor, with or without Notefile
- You can export your whole vault as a
.zipat any time from Settings
Losing a license never means losing your work. That is the whole design of the product.
Exceptional circumstances
In rare cases we may consider an exception, for example:
- A billing error, duplicate charge, or a payment you did not authorise
- A technical fault on our side that prevents the extension from working and that we are unable to resolve
These are assessed case by case and entirely at our discretion. If something has gone wrong, write to us — we would always rather fix the problem than argue about it.
Billing questions and disputes
If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us first at notefile@mybrowsertools.com and we will investigate promptly and fairly. Please include the email address you purchased with, or your Payhip order ID, so we can find the transaction.
Purchases are processed by Payhip, who act as the seller of record. Payhip's own terms also apply to your transaction.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes or limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country that cannot legally be waived. Where such a right applies, it takes precedence over this policy.
